Tsudzuka: ……Sakuya-san, you have made me a believer!
Kei: Me too, me too!
Sakuya: Thank you, thank you.
By the time we finish eating Sakuya-san’s homemade dinner, it is already a decently late hour.
Maybe it’s because the sun has set, but the wind blowing through the window left open feels strangely cool.
Maybe the wind chime we brought back with our ingredients is already putting itself to work.
Kei: It’s so peaceful—
Tsudzura: Peaceful, indeed—
Kei: It’s so boring—
Tsudzura: Boring, indeed—
I quit lounging, bowled over on the floor, and lift my upper half.
Kei: In that case, you wanna play another game?
Sakuya: Well, we already got our fill of that last night, didn’t we?
Tsudzura: Very true. Sakuya-san and I never settled our dispute, either.
Sakuya: If you’re gonna bet something, though, I’ll take a challenge any time. How about it?
Kei: *buruburuburu*
No way on Earth—— I give my head a fretful shake.
Last night mostly consisted of me losing. Personally, I don’t believe I’m so reckless as to accept a challenge I have no chance (furthermore, no need) of winning.
Also, gambling activities are against the law. Though it seems redundant, let the record reflect that.
Sakuya: Hmm, though really, what else is there?
Tsudzura: Oh, yes! I bought something nice, you know.
Having lay sprawled the same as I, Tsudzura-chan leaps to her feet and darts from the living room.
Kei: Obana-chan, do you know what it is?
Well, even if Obana-chan did know, I don’t really have the means to find out what it is, do I?
After a few moments, accompanied by crafty footsteps abound through the halls, Tsudzura-chan returns.
Tsudzura: TaDA—! I have prepared for just such an occasion!
What she carried hidden behind her back was a vinyl case, with bunches of stick and tube-shaped things stuffed inside.
Kei: ……Fireworks?
Tsudzura: In a value pack, no less!
I don’t know the price, so I can’t really tell whether it’s a great find or not, but there certainly is a large volume of goods inside.
Most of them are the kind you hold in your hands, but the ones with parachutes that you lift up, and the dynamic ones you attach to tree branches or sticks are also in there, a little of each.
Tsudzura: When it comes to summer, I knew it had to be fireworks for sure! LET’S GO to the river bank, no time to waste!
Sakuya: You’re heading out this late?
Kei: This late? I think fireworks are something you usually do at night.
Tsudzura: Also, considering the yard here is in this state…
It seems more fit to be called a small prairie than a yard. Not to mention, the rather flammable-looking plant matter adjoins to the house all the way around.
Sakuya: True, doing it in the yard sounds like a bad idea.
Sakuya: But mountain hiking at night, especially with Kei not being used to it, it sounds kinda dangerous, dontcha think?
