In the Fathoms of the Bottom Trunk

Kei: ……Is that so? Well, not that it matters, being a dream and all.

As I watch Nozomi-chan grow red-faced in denial, it feels like I’m picking on a child as young and small as she looks, and I don’t have the heart to take it further.
On the other hand, I find a kind of sleepiness welling up within, suffused with a feeling of ennui, as if my body were sinking into a lake of mud.

Kei: In that case, Nozomi-chan, I’m feeling sleepy, so I’m gonna go to bed.

Nozomi: If you go to sleep now, you will never awaken again, you know.

Kei: ……Izzat so?

Nozomi: All the blood in your body… is nearly gone completely.

Kei: Ahh, I see. I guess so.

So this drowsiness is reminiscent of the kind I feel when giving blood——

Kei: But, that’s okay……

And so—— I am unable to emerge from that somnolence.
I’m sinking.
I’m sinking.
Ever deeper than a dream, from dream unto dream, I’m sinking.
And I’m drawn away, far from the world of daylight where the sun shines down——
