A free ride?

Sakuya: ……So? Why’re you coming along?

Kei: My father’s house. I still haven’t seen it.

Joining with Sakuya-san, whose work calls for a photography hike through the mountains, I head for the Hazama mansion in the passenger seat of her SUV.

Sakuya: ……Ah, right. Even after going to see the sacred tree… I don’t get you at all.

Kei: But!… wait, what do you mean, “after going there”?

Sakuya: Did the name “Hazama” not enter your head? At the back of that mountain’s entrance, the forest, Chinjyu no Mori, the Hazama mansion is right there.

Kei: ……Huh?

Sakuya: Whether before hiking or after, if you just walked back a bit you’d have found it.

Kei: Uuu…… I guess, yesterday morning I……

I embarked in a lofty mood, thinking I could share a conversation topic with Uzuki-san later.
But, Sakuya-san seems not to like her much, so I can’t really say that aloud.

Sakuya: Is that right? Okay, I’ll park near the mansion, so you should sit tight inside there until I get back.

……Or so I was told…
But, I have absolutely no intention of sitting tight in that house.
My goal for today is to go to the Ohashirasama sacred tree.
